Landed on Beach Lawns on 27th July 2001, an Agusta Sikorsky HH-3F Pelican from the Italian Air Force. Based on the S-61, and used for SAR, medevac, and troop transport. First to land on 27th July was the PZL Sokol W-3W Anakonda Serial 0815, a Polish Navy search-and-rescue helicopter. Built in Poland and based at Gdynia-Oksywie. Landed on Beach Lawns late morning of 27th July 2001 the Italian Air Force crew disembark from their twin-engined Agusta AB212.
Royal Norwegian Air Force SAR  Westland Sea King Mk 43B, Ser.189, arrived  on Friday 27th July 2001. Based at Ørland, near Trondheim. The crew of Gazelle SA341G,
G-LOYD, relax alongside on Saturday 28th July, having arrived from Duffield on the previous day.
Belgian Air Force SAR Westland Sea King Mk 48, RS05, from 40 Squadron, Koksijde. Click on the banner below for the squadron's own site.
RAF Boeing Chinook Type HC.2 ZA670/EY  from 7 Squadron, RAF Odiham in Hampshire. Hughes 500 369HS  Ser.03695,  G-DADS, from Gloucestershire, piloted by Peter Turner . Nick Bailey's Westland Scout  AH.1, XW798/G-ONEB, takes off for return to Chisledon.
Army Air Corps Westland Scout AH.1, XT626, from the Historic Flight, based at Middle Wallop, Hampshire. Three Hueys, two Italian and one German, plus a French Air Force AS555  Fennec, take off together on their way home. German Luftwaffe's Bell UH-1D 'Huey' with one Lycoming T53 L13. Transport and rescue helicopter. Ser.71+43,  LTG-63.
